What are the best months to visit Mallorca?
May-June and September-October. Warm (20-28°C), Mediterranean perfect, sea swimmable, fewer crowds. May is the sweet spot — wildflowers, mild weather, almond blossoms still possible, prices half of August. September has the warmest sea (24°C) and Catalan harvest. Avoid July-August: 30-35°C+, packed beaches, prices triple. November-April is mild (12-18°C) — hikers love it, beach-goers should look elsewhere. Many beach restaurants close November-March.
What should I pack for Mallorca?
Beach-and-mountain combo. Summer: lightweight clothing, swimwear (bring two — one always damp), sandals plus real walking shoes (the Serra de Tramuntana is hiking country), sun hat, UV sunglasses, high SPF. The interior gets 5°C hotter than the coast; cotton long sleeves help in midday sun. For evenings: light layer, the breeze off the Mediterranean cools things.
